This is a question that I am often asked and hopefully the following will help you place your order so that the garment fits correctly when it arrives.

I offer 3 styles of t-shirts for sale.

Junior / Slim Fit
Lady / Missy Fit
Mens / Unisex

Each of these styles are cut differently.

Junior / Slim Fit - this t-shirt runs small when compared to the Lady / Missy fit t shirt, ideal for petite or slender women.

Lady / Missy Fit - this is similar in measurement to a mens / unisex t-shirt, but is cut to suit a curvier feminine figure.

Mens / Unisex - this is designed for men to wear, but can be worn by women who prefer a baggy t-shirt.

To take the bust / chest measurement - wrap the tape measure slightly loose around the fullest part of the chest (at nipple level).

Take that measurement and round it up to the nearest whole number for chest / bust in the tables below.

** NOTE: A woman's bra size size is NOT the same as her bust size **

MEDIUM: Chest / Bust Size: 34" - Width 17" - Length 26"

2XL: Chest / Bust Size: 44" - Width 22.0" - Length 28.5"

LADY FIT (A cut for a curvier feminine figure)

SMALL: Chest / Bust Size: 34" - Width 17" - Length 25"
MEDIUM: Chest / Bust Size: 38" - Width 19" - Length 26"
LARGE: Chest / Bust Size: 42" - Width 21" - Length 27"
X LARGE: Chest / Bust Size: 46" - Width 23" - Length 28"
2XL: Chest / Bust Size: 50" - Width 25" - Length 29"


To take the chest measurement - wrap the tape measure slightly loose under the armpits and around the fullest part of the chest and shoulder blades.

If you are unable to take the measurements of the person then alternatively you can also take the measurements of an existing t-shirt and use the width measurement in the relevant table above. If you look at the image for this listing you will see where to take the measurements of an existing t shirt.

Even if after doing all of the above you find that when the t-shirt arrives it doesn't fit, I do offer an exchange service*. You return the t-shirt to me (original tags must be in place and the t-shirt not worn) and I will send you a replacement t-shirt by either standard airmail or if in the UK 2nd class post - the only cost to you is the postage to return the t-shirt to me.

* The t-shirt exchange scheme is not available to any garment that is a custom order or has had a person's name or initials printed on it.

No order will be dispatched until full payment has been received and confirmation from the payment processing Company that the payment has been cleared.

Utter Apparel does not see any credit card information relating to a transaction.

Shipping from United Kingdom

Our current processing time is 1-3 working days from the time of ordering to the day of dispatch.

You will receive an email once your order has been printed and shipped. If you have chosen or been upgraded to an international tracked service (see details below) a tracking number will be included with the email.

Please note the above times are based on average delivery times calculated from past orders. From time to time delays can occur due to bad weather, customs clearance or due to large volumes of mail at certain times of year like Christmas. Regrettably there is nothing that can be done to avoid such delays as they are outside of our control.

Buyers outside of the EU are liable for any customs duty or local tax that is applied to your order upon delivery.

Returns & Exchanges

Just contact me within: 14 days of delivery

Ship items back to me within: 21 days of delivery

I don't accept cancellations

But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

Returns and exchange details


Exchanges* - If the item is not personalised, a custom order or had the original design modified it can be exchanged if it is the wrong size or colour. You pay to send the item back to us and we send the item back to you free of charge.

Refunds* - Any item that does not have a year printed on it, is not personalised, or is not a custom order or had the original design modified can be returned for a refund. All original packaging must be returned and the item must have the original Utter Apparel tag attached to it.

Cancellation* - Any order can be cancelled up to the point of printing.

Custom items - where you specifically ask for your own design / wording or modification of an existing design to be printed.

Personalised items - all birthday and anniversary items that have a year printed on them, an item which has a name or number printed on it that is unique to the wearer / user.


You have a 21 day window from the time you receive your order to return/exchange it.

If an item qualifies for a refund (i.e. it is not personalised or a custom order or has a year printed on it), you must contact us first to inform us that you wish to have a refund (via your Etsy account). We will then send you a returns form.

If it is a garment it must be returned unworn and unwashed. All items must have the original Utter Apparel tag attached to the item and in the same condition as it was received. Any devaluation of the item due to use or wear will be deducted from the original purchase cost at the time of refund.

Please note that if you purchased a shipping upgrade for your order you will only be entitled to a refund of the cheapest shipping cost available at the time of ordering.

If the returned item is part of a multiple order, just the cost the item will be refunded, no original postage cost will be refunded.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs when they return an item for a refund.

For personalised and custom items, you can only cancel your order up to commencement of printing. Once the item has been printed, it cannot be cancelled.

For items that are not customised or personalised they can be cancelled up to the point they are packaged ready for shipping. After shipping has occurred you will have to wait until you receive it and then request a refund (see refunds section).

To request a cancellation please contact us via your Etsy account, quoting the order number.

If an item is damaged upon receipt or you have received the wrong garment/size to that what you ordered (even though quality assurance measures are in place, Andrew & Samantha are only human and on a very rare day make a mistake), please contact us if there is a problem with your garment upon arrival.


Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. Utter Apparel is not responsible for delays due to customs.

UK legislation applies to all sales made through the Utter Apparel Etsy Shop, no matter what country the buyer resides in.

If a style is referred to as "junior" fit it means it runs small in relation to a normal woman's fit.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All items come with an Utter Apparel tag attached and are contained in their own protective packaging which is separate to the outer mailing bag.

All orders are shipped without an invoice, although a packing slip (without pricing) is contained with each order.

Care instructions


- Wash inside out using a warm machine wash.
- Can be tumble dried on a LOW heat setting
- Do not iron over the printed design
